This morning’s dream is very far removed from our daily “reality”.
The dream starts with the wife and I renovating the middle floor of a house. It is our house. We are in an environment which looks like the famous hill roads in San Francisco. The street outside is very steep and flattens off at the downhill intersection.
We are expecting a guest to the flat which we have advertised.
Outside we can hear someone banging on the black enamel painted railings. We go to open the gate and let in a tiny, very white, Japanese woman and her two companions. She tells us that she has made the reservation.
We usher them in on the ground floor and then upstairs to the middle floor. The wife opens the door with her keys.
The two companions carry the luggage and one of them opens up a poster of the princess. They say that perhaps we know her from the media. The image has the tiny woman in very expensive traditional dress. The princess admonishes her companions.
As we go in to the entrance hall of the flat, we can see that is disproportionally long compared with the external size, with woven golden colour drapes and ornate French antique chairs lining the corridor. We walk along the corridor and into the lounge.
The lounge is again huge and ornate with a view out downhill to the sea.
The princess admires the view and purrs approvingly.
I go upstairs into the attic to fetch the set of keys for their private entrance to the flat which is via the French window doors looking out on the bay.
I find the keys, there is one for railings gate and a small golden one for the door. I give them to the princess and we bow.
