Easily Discounted and Ignored

I had an insight last night which may or may not be real. It occurred to me that when I made my patent application in May 2019 nobody really bothered to review it to see if it had any security implication because it was from a loony who made the application without use of a reputable patent attorney. It simply was not possible that a “man in his shed” or a “prof in his garage” could come up with anything worthwhile. Hence it was fast tracked into the pile of, “do I really have to examine them?” patent applications.

“Bad luck Johnno you have another nutjob patent application to review…enjoy…Ha, ha, ha…”

To many people top notch ideas can only ever come from top notch establishments. The Hospital, Colney Hatch Lane, Friern Barnet is not considered one of them.

This suggests that whatever I may submit will only be given a cursory look and shuffled quickly onto the nutjob-whacko-dreamer pile.

This confers a measure of freedom.

I am extremely easy to discount as I am a nobody of no importance from nowhere special. A pikey from rural Brittany cannot possibly come up with anything of value…

It might be interesting to see how INPI responds, what the tone of their replies might be…

Disbelief can hide many things…we often have fixed ideas and prejudices.
