Train – Thwarting Attack Dream 03-05-2026

Here is this morning’s dream. It had a very random feel to it.

The dream opens on a full British train. It is like one of those Intercity 125 trains where there are four seats sat around a table. The train is heading to London. I am sat in an aisle seat facing forward at a table.

Suddenly a man and a woman burst into the carriage. She is carrying a sub-machine gun. It is similar in idea to an AK47 but more modern and western of construction, like a Heckler & Koch with a long magazine. They are shouting for everyone  to remain calm and stay in their seats. He has an automatic pistol in metallic black. He appears to be wearing a bullet proof vest. She has a long flowing robe with a light blue hajib with small tassels on. They walk though the carriage. We can hear commotion from the carriage next.

As she walks past my seat she turns to threaten me with her gun. In one move I stand up and seize her gun which I begin to strip down into its component parts like in an army drill. In front of her eyes and in a very short time I have the machine gun stripped into pieces and laid out onto the train table for “inspection”. She is dumfounded and totally surprised. She does not know what to do. The male comes over and points his gun in my face, very close. In a single move I disarm him and point the gun at him. I command him to lay on the floor which he does.  A couple of passengers take the woman by the arms and make her sit at one of the seats at a train table. It goes very quiet in our carriage.

A man and a woman from the next carriage come to check on what is going on. They are armed. They are totally surprised to walk into me standing in the passage pointing an automatic hand gun at them. Before they get fully into the carriage I gesture to them to drop their weapons. They can see the stripped down machine gun and make a calculation that I am “professional”. They drop their weapons to the floor. They hold their hands up. They all had been full of bravado and expected no resistance. When even a small bit came they capitulated. I gesture to some passengers to take charge of the other two which they do. I say to another passenger to go forward and to tell the driver what has happened so that he can radio ahead. I note that the attackers are all young adults and have the look of comfort not war about them. They are soft “all mouth and no trousers” types.

I awake thinking that was odd…
