Maybe I Was an Alpaca?

This morning’s dream points {again} to some kind of Tibetan incarnation, perhaps some lama-dude. I have long held this possibility at arm’s length because I have had no waking memory of such a thing. The dream indicates a time stamp roughly of 1960 when things were bad in Tibet and a number of lamas left. We hear about the ones who made it. We don’t hear about the ones who did not.

They may have been vulture food.

I did once go to a dzong in London and had an “empowerment” by Tulku Akong Rinpoche. A lama who along with Chögyam Trungpa escaped from Tibet during the Chinese excess.

I have often wondered why no waking recall. The only answer I came up with is that life as a monk is so very boring that there is little to remember, no outstanding dramatic events. Tedium, day after day routine.

If the dream points at a very recent incarnation, then that hints at something like a tulku incarnation, where one life follows quickly.

That does not really impinge on the current health problems and search for a nanna-flat. In a sense it is little more than a phenomenological possibility when viewed from life circumstance. I do not see nor feel that there is much / anything left for me to do.

I have hypothesised that there have been many failures, way more than “successes”. We only hear of the latter because it is they who have ongoing wider significance. In a way quiet failure fertilizes the ground for success.

I am at something of an impasse on the health front and cannot currently see any further steps. There is nothing urgent and I can tolerate the pain and lack of sleep. We need to move house before even thinking about any operation. It is not a complicated equation, for now.

I am currently where I am not seeing medical intervention as something positive and healing. It seems like a necessary thing and to be endured even. It does not fill me with hope for an easier existence.

Do I have to? Well maybe it is sensible.

Who knows what if any dreams will follow tonight…

Tibetan Plateau, Gold, Lama Dream 1-11-2011

Prompted by this morning’s dream I found this one in the vaults, so to speak.

Dream Diary 1-11

I am outside with Charlie. He and I are loading bricks into the trunk / boot of a car. The bricks have curly writing on them, it is not Sanskrit or Tibetan. They are golden and more like large ingots of gold.

He and I are now on a long journey across the mountains on a plateau which is in Tibet. With us is a smiling lama who is our guide, guard and escort. He is showing us the way. The landscape is very sparse and rocky with scree falls. I look at the lama’s physique and it is very similar to mine only that he is shorter and obviously Tibetan. I say that I didn’t know that they built Tibetans like that…

As we continue on our journey. Charlie and I are now wearing saffron and magenta monk’s robes. This journey is to be extensive. As we move forward Charlie is often out in front exploring the different routes. At one stage we need to pick up speed. The Tibetan monk picks up his companion, also a monk, and carries him piggy-back. I do the same with Charlie. I am not sure that I can walk and climb at this altitude like this. After a few steps I realise that I can and easily so.

A little later the trail becomes tortuous and Charlie is way ahead up the hill. He comes down back to me via a slippery and windy route. I find a more direct route. This is a part of a long journey together.

Back now in London, we are at a Tibetan Dzong as guests of honour. Sat waiting are Charlie , the wife and I. We are offered some western food. I turn to her and say that she had better tuck in before they come out with the yak’s butter….

Hokkaido – Golden Pins – Tibetan Phrases – Road Trip – Dream 07-02-2025

Here is this morning’s dream had between 4 and 8 AM.

The dream opens in Japan specifically Hokkaido. I am indoors in a hectic setting, a kind of big event hall. I am competing in a game which is part physical plane sprint racing and part abstract computer intelligence game. Each round is set off by a buzzer and the contestants have to make their way to the finish line within the context of the duality. In the booth next to me is a tall slim Japanese man. The buzzer sounds and the race begins. In both scenarios he just beats me. I come second in the race.

We both go over the left of the finish line in the computer world and in the thing which holds up the finish flag are the positional pins. We each select a tiny golden micro-pin which has the positional letter. My pin ends in a golden 2, his a golden 1. I place the pin in my shirt pocket on the left hand side of my chest. The race repeats several times and each time the result is the same. I soon have quite a collection of golden two pins in my shirt pocket. The “competition” finishes.

I am then walking through a busy brightly lit mall. I am in a food court in which various Japanese food outlets are selling street food. The atmosphere is pungent and very lively. The food on offer is highly coloured and from around the globe. I cannot decide. I walk over to a burger joint and a Japanese woman asks me what I would like. It is her job to serve me and be of assistance. She is very friendly, lively and with excellent English {UK}. I say that I would like a small burger and fries and for her to surprise me. She brings my food over together with a large bottle of top-end Japanese spring water. She sits next to me and helps me to eat.

I go back to my rooms; they are executive and above parr. I am unsure as to what to do next. I have no return flight. So, I start to look up flights from Sapporo to Queensland Australia. The Idea being that I land in Townsville or Brisbane and buy a second hand car to drive to the Isa {Mt Isa}.

I pause and take a stroll. Outside in the car park is my ex-wife. She is in a beat up camper van and I can hear her snoring. The van is a mess. I go back inside. She knocks on the door. I open it. She asks how I am coping with the water. Just fine. She says that she had problems getting served at the food court and did not like the tap water. I say that she probably had problems communicating. With the Japanese it is very important to listen. If you don’t listen carefully to what they say they consider you rude and vulgar. I say that listening was never one of her skills. I point to the bottle of top-end spring water on the side and say that she can take it back to her camper van, her brumby. This she does…

I hear the song from Men at Work, I come from the land down under, “travelling in a beat up brumby”.

I decide against going to Queensland.

Instead, I must take a road trip. I see in my minds eye a map showing Hokkaido and Sapporo with mainland Asia and Vladivostok. I know that I can easily get a boat to Vladivostok and that I could drive from there to Wiltshire. I resolve in the dream to look up a route on AA route planner when I get up. I know that I must go via Mongolia and that it will be a long trip.

Here is AA Router planner route Vladivostok to Calais. Distance ~ 8000 miles.

I start out on my route and part the way along in or near Mongolia I am given two white plaques of an irregular shape. Phonetically these plates speak in the dream. They say, “Mon yet {yat} Dzong” and “Sprul yet Tsaay” I can see the associated Tibetan script but cannot associate it directly with the phonetics.

Sprul

The concept of tulpas has origins in the Buddhist nirmāṇakāya, translated in Tibetan as sprul-pa (སྤྲུལ་པ་): the earthly bodies that a buddha manifests in order to teach those who have not attained nirvana. The western understanding of tulpas was developed by twentieth-century European mystical explorers, who interpreted the idea independently of Buddhahood

——-

1) Trulku (in Tibetan: sprul sku) — Literally the “emanation body” of a buddha. In a Tibetan context, a trulku (often given the epithet rinpoché, “precious one”) denotes the chosen reincarnation of a lama of high spiritual stature. A trulku usually inherits his (or her) predecessor’s prestige, wealth, and institutional seat. Important trulku lineages include the Dalai and Panchen Lamas and the Karmapas, who originated the tradition in the thirteenth century

2) sprul sku (སྤྲུལ་སྐུ) (Tibetan; in Sanskrit: nirmāṇakāya) — (lit. “Emanation body”) — Within the compass of the formbody, the aspect of a buddha that appears for the sake of ordinary sentient beings. A single buddha may manifest multiple emanation bodies, which may be in human, animal, or inanimate form. The “historical Buddha” Śākyamuni is generally regarded as an emanation body. The Tibetan term for emanation body, trulku, is used to designate a deliberately reincarnated lama

Sprul

སྤྲུལ་ send forth an emanation; emanate; emanation

Mon

མོན་

Bhutan; Mon, a district in Tibet

Mön

Mon. Name for lands to the south and southwest of Tibet

Dzong

Dzong (Tib. རྫོང་, Wyl. rdzong) — literally a ‘fortress’, the equivalent of a monastery in Bhutan.

—————————————————————-

In the write up to this dream I have referred to a Maltese cross. However, the sketch is of a Cross Pattée Gules or Templar cross.

I am flying above the earth soaring over landscapes. I am above Erice in Sicily and fly over the landscape there. I can see the bays and mountains. In the distance I can see a cross superimposed on the mountains. I can see the cross above Rio De Janeiro. I fly over to it and see the statue of Christ the Redeemer. I can see the details of its construction.

I continue flying and come to a rocky outcrop at the top of a mountain. I stand there at the top of a cliff and look down to the sea below. It is a long way down. I sense vertigo.

Again and again, I fly to this place, embossed in the stone is a Maltese {actually Templar} cross.

I see the image both in stone and coloured red. The flight to this place and the cross repeats multiple times.

There is an inscription in Latin around the cross. I stand beside, view and contemplate.

A coloured tunnel opens in the dreamscape and I am taken through it from the scene direct to my bed.

Dream ends

I have / had tremendous déjà vu at both Erice and Malta. I felt instantly at home in either place.

My hypothesis is that this stems from two lifetimes ago when I was a Christian priest / warrior.

“Contrary to popular belief, when Hugues de Payns and his eight companions founded the Order of the Temple in 1118, they were not wearing this cross. They wore only a white cloak, a symbol of purity and light. This distinguished them from the other Crusader knights, all of whom wore a cloth cross sewn onto their clothing, in a different colour depending on their origin. The French wore a red cross, the English a white one, the Flemish and Germans a green (or later a black) one, the Italians a yellow one and the Angevins a light green one.

It was not until 1147, eleven years after the death of Hugues de Payns, that Pope Eugene III granted the Knights Templar the privilege of wearing the Cross of Gules (red) on their clothing, the colour of which recalled the blood they had shed in defence of the Holy Land. The colour red was also a reminder of the Order’s French origins, since the red cross was, as we have seen, the mark of the French Crusaders.”

Tibetan Dice Dream 1-11-2024

This is one of a recent series of “out of the blue” dreams which seems to have little or no relevance to my current life circumstance and events therein.

I am shown a dice/die which is a cube with rounded corners. It has the feel of ivory and looks ancient. I know beyond doubt that it is a Tibetan dice. I know that Tibetan dice are unlike any other dice in the world because of their special properties. I can only see the face of the die with a singular dot to denote one. I know the others are there, but the dream zooms in.

A little later I see two dice. I see that they are carved out of a deep root of a tree and shaped and polished. It is a long process and a labour of love. These are my Tibetan dice. They are perfect cubes with sharp edges and corners. I hold them in my hand and throw the dice, and I see two faces each with a singular dark blue dot. I have thrown two. They are made of root and Tibetan. The workmanship is exquisite. I know the meaning of two and its significance,

Dream ends.

I had not heard of this but when I put Tibetan Dice into Google…

From Wikipedia

Mo (divination)

Mo (Tibetan: མོ་, Wylie: mo), is a form of divination that is part of the culture and religion of Tibet. The Tibetan people consult Mo when making important decisions about health, work or travel. Mo employs dice and there are books written by various lamas on interpretations for the casting of dice. The answers given by the Mo are regarded as coming from Manjushri, the Bodhisattva of wisdom. Mo is considered to represent a blend of Tibetan shaman traditions and Buddhist beliefs.

One Mo prediction manual was composed by Jamgon Ju Mipham Gyatso, a great scholar and saint of the Nyingmapa tradition of Tibetan Buddhism. This Mo prediction manual is based primarily upon the Kalachakra Tantra and supplementary explanations from the ‘Ocean of Dakinis’. To use this Mo divination, one must have a question in mind and roll the dice. The dice’s outcome will indicate an answer in the prediction manual. The answer in the manual should answer your question but may need some interpretation.

The Dalai Lama consults the Mo divination when making important decisions.

Sanskrit-Senzar- Messenger Dream 26th May 2014

I am standing in a column of light which is shining down on me. It comes from above. As the light shines on me it etches into my skin black tattoos, these form on my arms, my legs, my chest and my back. They are letters, words and phrases in Sanskrit and Senzar. The letters are in a black ink and cover pretty much my entire body much like the Bulletproof Monk. I carry these letters.

Next, I am in a city landscape and everyone is going to a party at city hall. There is a concert on there and people are gathering. There is an ensemble playing, it is like the Academy of Ancient Music and the instruments are all original period pieces. They are up on stage. On the ground floor and in a “box” is Princess Anne.

By this time, I have told people about the tattoos and nobody believes me. There has been some press interest but the men with their 1950’s style newshound flash cameras have lost interest. This is because there is nothing to see. The party continues on undisturbed.

I now find myself in a department store which is old style. I am curled up on the floor near a counter wearing a grey long sleeved shirt. The shop people find me there and nudge me to get up. I get up and as I do so the sleeves of my shirt fall back to reveal a list of tattoos in Sanskrit, Senzar and Chinese. These are now in very vivid royal blue and the calligraphy is exquisite, it is almost moving and definitely alive and vivacious.

The store staff are all bewildered by this and take me to a back office. In the foyer to this back office are two small Tibeto-Chinese figures. They are dressed in ceremonial costumes and approach me. They are dwarves and twins. I show them my forearms and they recognize the Sanskrit and Chinese characters; they guess that the others must be Senzar. The tattoos are now moving like a “stock ticker” scrolling across my arms. The dwarves are awestruck.

Whilst I am waiting for the store staff, I get bored and so leave the store, into a busy “New York” city street. It is raining heavily and my shirt gets wet through. It is clinging to me. I am wandering through the city in the rain with these vivid mobile, deep royal blue tattoos being the only coloured thing in a grey and black and white-grey world.

In the dream I know that I am carrying messages. I am by way of a messenger.

Later people gather around me and I show them my forearms. People now start to believe what I have told them before and all are astounded by the tattoos. I show church leaders and statesman. They are all stunned.

In the city the younger people are setting up to go to a house party. It is the usual thing and people are gathering to go to someone’s house. They are all too busy with partying. They do not realize that the “party” is at my house.

I am now on a roof and there is a stack of old billboard type advertisements. There are several of us and we are sorting them. There is one which reads Toltec 7-14 which we find and as we do this one of the phrases in Senzar lights up on my arm. It says “Toltec 7-14 New Book” in Senzar. I know its meaning. I know it is both a date and has the meaning of dreaming symbols {7= guidance and 14 = new knowledge}.

I awake with very strong sensations on and in my forearms and chest. These are very similar to when I had the visions of myself in Buddhist monk’s robes and tattoos in Sanskrit of inter alia “Om Mane Padme Hum” nearly a decade ago. I can feel the place where the dream tattoos were, particularly on my forearms.

Swiss Technology – Flatmate – Dream 23-08-23

This morning’s dream sequence pertains {perhaps} to the early to mid-1990s.

The first sequence starts with me on a train to Poole in the UK. I get off the train to go and see my university flatmate D. {I helped nurse her through recovery from a bad car accident and was best man at her wedding to a school friend of mine.} When I get off the train D is nowhere to be seen. So, I try to call her on my mobile ‘phone. I cannot figure out how to use the ‘phone so I ask a teenage boy to help me. He scrolls down my lists of contacts and finds her number. {In reality I do not have this.} I call her and she does not answer. A short while later she calls me back and leaves a message. She does not live in Poole anymore, rather Bognor Regis. {They are quite distant.} I try to call her back and she says that my school friend A will come to pick me up in his Beemer {BMW}. I wait for ages and he does not turn up. I try to ‘phone again and we go through a game of ‘phone tag, missing each other’s calls.

It is clear in the dream that this is all about miscommunication something which happened a great deal in the past.

The next dream starts in a stark concrete apartment block I am exploring a landing on an elevated floor. I notice a door at the end of the corridor which I open and walk through. I am in a large smart office of a research establishment. The office is populated by young research scientists of both sexes. They are Swiss and the is the research group of one of my bosses S {from early-mid 90s}. The lab is in Switzerland. The conversation in the office is in a mixture of English, French, Swiss German, and Hoch Deutsch. One of the lads asks me if I can still understand German. I say that it will take me a few days to get my ear in. I say that I miss Switzerland and feel at home there.

I then ask them about their projects and they explain in a great deal of detail the experiments they are currently doing. I say that I will need a while to update my understanding of the high level ab initio programmes because I will be rusty. They ask me which radicals I did spectroscopy of. I explained that way back I looked a mass resolved spectroscopy of neutral water clusters. The rumours are that S has gotten me back to work on a research project to develop a very high power carbon dioxide laser. He has gotten a big tranche of funds and wants someone like me to oversee.

I go down the corridor to another office and can see what was once my desk.

I enter a hectic office with a secretary and S. S is working over at his desk I go over to shake his hand which he reciprocates then he says that I will have to wait my turn, somewhat coldly. He is very busy and there is a queue of people to see. He gestures to the secretary and says that she will help out with the formalities. She is young and speaks excellent English.

While I am waiting, I go downstairs and out of the building. I look around and sure enough it is Switzerland and I recognise the main street upon which I once lived.

I go back into the office and wait turn. When I meet S he unrolls a massive set of blueprints for the new laser design, it is for multiphoton induced chemistry to make radicals by direct vibrational bond cleavage.

The dream ends and I am astounded at the level of technical detail in the dream which I have cut down by a large factor in the write up.

Hospital – Zürich – Pinocchio – Crocodiles Dream 30-10-23.

Here is this morning’s dream. It seems out of the blue and at odds with my current life context.

The dream opens inside a hospital. I am talking to a young woman in a white coat there. She is asking me to talk to some of the people who have been stuck in the hospital for a long time. She gathers a few of them around they are all young and white. One of them who has been in for a long time asks me which illnesses I have had. I reply saying cancer and a broken hip. Only cancer I say. I say that I was only in hospital for a few days. She says that I should talk to Em who is in the other room. She has a number tattooed inside her cheek.

I go to Em’s room and there is a very beautiful young woman with blonde hair in a bob. She is wearing a white hospital gown with sparse tiny black flecks. I ask her to show me her tattoo. She shows me the inside of her left cheek and there is indeed a number written there. We joke about how these open at the back hospital gowns make it difficult to maintain modesty. I don one and clown around for her.

The reason they tattoo numbers is because she does not have health insurance and they need to know on whom they are operating. I notice a Swiss text on her bedside table.

I ask her, “are you Swiss?”

“Yes”

“From Zürich?”

“Yes…”

There is now a tall young man with very dark hair in the room.

I explain that I used to live in Switzerland and once worked at the University of Bern. I say that I know some people who may still be at ETH.

She says that she used to live near ETH.

The young man chirps up and says that he has to show me a video.

I go with him back to his room. He is a science teacher. He picks up a tablet computer which is very fancy with dials and other lights on it. He boots it up and using the touch screen scrolls through some files. He finds a video. He turns to show me the video. It zooms in on me doing a science demonstration for children. I am wearing my blue jacket and a pink shirt. It is a part of a series on how to present.

He says I thought I knew you from somewhere. That video is from an event I attended at Zürich. I recognised you from there.

I am gobsmacked. He says that he too is a bit of an intellectual like me. I say that I don’t consider myself an intellectual anymore. He is very exuberant.

We go back to the Swiss girl’s room and he shows her the video too.

I notice that it is misty outside and say that I need to get some fresh air. There is some confusion over which slippers to put on my feet. There is a pile of them and some do not fit, others I do not like the look of. I settle for some espadrilles or kung fu slippers.

They tell me to be careful.

Once I am outside in the mist I am in an inordinately good mood. I start to jog. Coming down the path in the opposite direction to me is a man with a white carrier bag. I feign to do a rugby tackle on him. He joins in the fun and we both beam a smile at each other.

Further down the path there are some people playing at pirates. There is a small child sized man who is wearing a white loincloth with a bandana. He is brown in colour and waving a cutlass about. He strikes me with the cutlass across the back.

It hurts but does not wound. I pick him up and he drops the cutlass.

I tell him to apologise. He refuses.

I am now holding him easily by both of his feet. I tell him that unless he apologises, I will dunk him in the pond.

He refuses. I dunk his head into the water for a few seconds. His face is now white, clean.

He says that that hurt.

Again, I ask him to apologise.

He says that he will never apologise to me, not ever.

I dip him this time bodily and he disintegrates into the water.

I reach into the water and pull out the pieces of a plastic toy bus which I assemble. There is a show cage on top of the bus. I reach down and find a plastic toy Pinocchio in two parts. I put the top half to the bottom half. I then insert Pinocchio into the cage. His nose has grown a little because of lying. I know Pinocchio and the man in the loin cloth to be one and the same. He has morphed into Pinocchio.

I close the door of the cage because that is where Pinocchio is most comfortable inside his cage.

I move on deeper into the park and I am joined by a woman with dark brownish hair. She feels familiar but we have never been introduced. Somehow, she has heard more about me than I about her. She has watched the whole Pinocchio scene.

As we progress along the path, we can see a pond across it. In it there is a small non-descript furry animal in the water. It is a bit like a sloth or lemur. The animal is wet through.

Around the animal closing in are a number of mid-size crocodiles. The woman run towards the animal to try to save it.

I shout out, “No!!!”

Nevertheless, she enters the water and picks up the animal. As she is trying to leave the pond one of the crocodiles grabs her leg and starts pulling her under.

I shout, “Oh no, not again.”

{In real life, as a child, I saw a game warden pulled under by a Nile crocodile about ten metres away from me.}

The crocodile drags her and the animal off under a piece of corrugated steel roofing in the water. The other crocodiles converge.

I find a large thick wooden pole and start to strike the crocodile who is biting her (Susan?) on the leg. I strike it several times.

I wake up with a start and was unable to re-enter this dream to find out what happened. I come downstairs put the coffee on and start typing.

Saffron Trousers “Muay Thai” – Reincarnation – Dream 10-07-23

Here is this morning’s dream.

The dream opens at the confluence of two rivers in mountainous terrain. The river beds are strewn with dark grey-black rock. The river levels are low as is the resultant river. It is clear that from time to time and in rainy season torrents flow. Around the rivers are dense rainforest like trees. I am on a “beach” to the side of one of the rivers. There is a sense of antiquity and of “ago”. I know that I am near a village which is on a major trade route into / across the mountains. It has been the scene of major battles.

I look down and can see that I am wearing only some saffron-yellow trousers. They are held up with a drawstring at the waist and the ankles are similarly tied. They are loose fitting. My head is freshly shaved and without hair. My body is Asian and early twenties. It has no body hair. I am of a slight yet muscular build. I have a tattoo of my left forearm which I cannot see. I am with an old man with white hair and wispy beard. He is dressed in cotton trousers and jackets. He is an elder.

I am not of the village but have been assigned to it. There is an upcoming festival and I have been chosen to represent the village. Tribes will be coming down from the mountains for the festivities, which will be extensive over a number of days.

I point at a red rock on the shore. I say to the man that this could be ground up for face paint. {My mind interjects it is iron oxide}. He says yes and notes it. He will send one of the women back for it.

He has in his hand a cane upon which is a small pad. I am now supposed to kick the pad as he moves it. The type of kick is a roundhouse. He encourages me to swing the whole leg and not flex it at the knee. {My mind interjects that this not like a Japanese roundhouse mawashi-geri but more like a Muay Thai kick}. He moves the pad around getting me to kick low and high. He says that I must focus on the thigh kicks as these will deaden the legs of my opponents. He says that this is a key part of Muay Thai. He encourages me to kick low very hard and fast as we move around the beach. This “way” goes a long way back. He then gets me to work on a front stop kick which prevents the opponent from getting close. He says that I should tap into the warriors of old from this part of the mountains. The tribes coming down are savage and ruthless so I will have to be on my guard and at my best.

He says that although I am not of the village as the Buddhist priest, I should know its ways.

I have worked up a sweat. He suggests that I dunk myself in the river. Which I do.

The dream ends as we walk towards the village and I am amazed at how this body feels in comparison to the one in which I am sleeping.

Dream ends

* I note than in my waking dreams of me as a Buddhist priest I had a Sanskrit tattoo of “om mane padme hum” on forearms.

This is perhaps my Thai Buddhist lifetime, one of three putative Buddhist incarnations.

Elephant – Bodh Gaya – India – Dream 1-9-2013

In the dream and the dreaming…

I show Piero my second thesis. I explain there was / is no need to get it marked.

The page then opens up to reveal a massive three-dimensional palace garden. In which there are tables, mirrors, candles and plants. The detail is exquisite as is the furniture. I light the candles and take Piero on a tour of the garden and when we have completed a full circuit, I notice that candles have gone out. The attendants notice me lighting the candles again and join in. There is no need to light the candles anymore. The story continues.

I take Piero over to a map. It is a map of India. I say to him that India looks like an Elephant from the front. We look closer and zoom in onto an Elephant like structure. Closer and closer we zoom at what appears to be a bindi on the Elephant’s head. We zoom in even more and see that it is a cluster of small tables under a tree.

This is where Buddha began the Bodhicitta it is Bodh Gaya.

I am now in the streets alone walking towards the Bodhi tree. There are market stalls everywhere selling souvenirs and changing money. At one stall I overhear a young woman who is a seer. “He has come. Let us watch and see what he does.”

I go over to her to give her some money as a donation. My coins are blue. I now have a guide standing with me. He says that Sunchita (or something similar an Indian female name) will have sex with me at the dinner should I so want.  I move on with the guide to show many more pictures of Elephants.

“This is my dreaming class”, I say. “I am an Elephant.”

“What colour is that?”, he asks.

I point him towards a magnificent picture of an Elephant done in Indigo Blue.

“I am Indigo Blue.” I say, “it runs in my veins.”

We continue to wander around under the Bodhi tree looking at the stalls as my guide chats with the locals. The girl re-iterates her offer which is of little interest to me.
